I dont know about you guys but in my house my wife is FB crazy. Spends time updating and checking on everybody it just kills me. Once I griped and said she wasted to much time on that crap....Her response "what about you and Snowest". Crap she had me there. But, it seems to me that FB is about 90% female interest?? I know very very few guys that are ACTUALLY on it. They may have an account but rarely frequent it. So where do you stand?

before i was where i currently am, i was rarely on it, now im on it all day, in 5 weeks ill go back to rarely being on it

I'm in the desert, so its handy to talk to people back home, even with a 9 hour time difference

I use it from time to time. Not much at all, but it's handy now and then. The big deal is FB is up $6.28 from the low and that's a nice gain!

I was anti FB for ever...until I opened an account.

The truth is if you set it up right...and unsubscribe to people that don't post content that interests you...it is a great site.

Basically my account and people I interact with post 90% snowmobile content. Most of the top riders in the industry make regular posts and you get some pretty awesome content...that will show up no where else. Plus there is a really strong network of "unknown" riders that some amazing snowmobile pics/videos etc.

Yes there is a lot of useless drivel out there. But they make it very easy to weed thru it and get what you want out of it.

I guess it is like most things in life...it is what you make of it.

I use FB quite a bit... but we have a business page on it and it does generate more than half of our business... so it is for a good cause. I do like it as a way to keep in touch with some old friends and family that live across the country... but I think FB can be taken way overboard. If it is replacing spending time with your kids or something else that is productive, then it is a problem. That being said... I dont care where people are eating and if they are excited about doing laundry or going to the bathroom...people that post every minute of their day drive me crazy. Post your sled pictures and move on!

I also use it mostly for Sledding and old school contacts. I quit playing the lame games so I dumped the game friends. I do have the occasional rant or smart alec comment but hey, I wouldn't be if it didn't.

Right now it's a great way to stay in tune with the latest fire updates where a good friend lives.

Also alot of the sledding companies post great deals to had only if you see it on FB.

Neither the wife or I have an account.

My biased, uninformed opinion is that Facebook is best left for teenage girls to gossip on. I think it is quite lame when businesses offer a contest where all you have to do to enter is "like us on facebook!" What a load of crap. I'm all for online shopping, but I just cant bring myself to join the hype that is Facebook.

As far as talking to long lost friends from school, if they really are my friend I will pick up the phone and call them. If I don't have their number, its because I don't want it.

I had one, but deleted it. My first clue was that I had about 95 percent of my "friends" blocked. I guess I just didn't really want to know about every detail of their lives. I found that certain people that I like I began to dislike after seeing some of their posts. I guess I will just have to make all my friends the old fashioned way, by stereotyping them then hoping they prove me wrong...or by alcohol.:face-icon-small-win

IMO

The reason facey took off was the younger generation 14-25 or so.. wanted to know what other ppl were doing and whats going on in there life... as you get older you dont give a chit what others are doing and are more focused on your self.
For example look at all the gossip magazines... Britney spears this so and so that... for whatever reason some people are real intrested in whats going on in others life. and those magazines make a killing just like zuckerberg
So facebook allows you to do so without being a stalker and getting in legal trouble.

To say you use it to stay in touch with ppl is false, because thats what email is...
FB allows you to know more about ppls lifes(get in there buisness).. if there married, if they drive a ferrari or a pinto etc...

And for ppl that update there everymove "lunchtime", "gym" etc... need to get a fackin life.

I have an active account, post something every couple months...

i enjoy seeing videos and pics from sled related companys that i have "liked"

Use it every day. Just another type of SW and a good way to see stuff.

Now I'm off to pee.

Had a giant mason jar of lemon aide

Later I will have a big deuce courtesy of Cold Stone.....and most likely I will check FB on my phone while pooping....( the real reason FB is worth it, well besides creeping buddies hot sisters and friends)

im on it a lot. mostly to heckle my buddies from school while we are either not there or its summer and nobody is in town. a nice way to check out pictures other people have and show people cool stuff your up to. just like posting pictures of your rides on here, but for the non sled addicts in your crew.

like dizzle said, organizing it so you only get stuff your interested in makes it good, so easy to like a bunch of random stuff and just get bombarded with crap all day and turns you off of it.

and i pretty much block anyone who links there pintrest to it. i dont care about the 1000000 workout and exercise links you like, your still a lazy pile and sit around all and the only activity you do is linking things about working out.

oh boy.

Internet strip club? With who for all ya know it's your buddies dad or somethin!
Way to much time spent here to be on FB it is hyped up mass marketing crap for other people.. It sure made Mark Z alot of money off of other people..hmm just not one of those people I guess.
Ever try leaving or deleting your info?

I have one. Mostly because my wife wont let me delete it. I have less than 100 "friends" most of which are basically acquaintances I never talk to.

My old lady on the other hand lives for Facebook... On in CONSTANTLY. Drive in the car down the damn road checking facebook, at home watching a movie on facebook... Go to dinner on facebook... Jesus H it drives me INSANE. I told her once I was going to throw her phone out the damn window if she didnt pay attention to driving more.

I dont understand how you can have that little to do to want to be on that all the time. No one on there says ANYTHING important. 90 percent of the time people just post vague fishing posts seeking attention.
