Extreme"Sledding" on the S.F. of the Payette

That was a VERY impressive run by Beau and Toby! Both are very skilled drivers - there are very few jet boat operators who will attempt that run of the river! And yeah - a swim in that river that time of year would be hard enough for the body to endure in a calm section, getting rinced through a half mile long section of whitewater that they ran through would be pretty hard to survive I would think. Very intense stuff!!!!

Thanks for posting the link to Custom Weld Marina, Wade! (We bought our boat and sled-bed from them and I built their website.) Here's the direct link to all our jet boating videos on You Tube @ whitewateradventures:
whitewateradventures@YouTube There's some sledding stuff included too.

Blown out in Granite Rapid (2nd page) is a good one to watch although the video recorder stumbled at the wrong moment!!!! Blown Out in Granite

This Granite Rapid run is decent too:
Granite Rapid, Hells Canyon

I'll be adding more footage later this summer so stay tuned if your into this stuff.

More money than brains.

That pretty much sums up what I was thinking too. Cool vid though. Must be nice to have enough coin to not be worried about wadding up a $70,000 boat on the rocks...

Get replacement insurance and it's not too big a deal. (Aluminum appreciates.)

Im thinking these guys went about 20 miles up river and hit close to ELEVEN CLASS III RAPIDS AND 8 CLASS IV !! IN BIG WATER.

I love the Eddyflower link for the jetboating thread!! I think Hemming would sh*t himself if he saw that on here!

btw, I think I'd sh*t myself if I saw one of those things coming at me as I was coming down the river!!!

lucky for us our rivers in CO look more like this: http://www.eddyflower.com/RunDetail.aspx?RunId=88 (my backyard run) than that!!

Here's the type of jet boat I want...

Ripped the side and half the transom off my boat in the narrows about 20 years ago. Fortunatly was above water line and was able to limp it back to the launch. Haven't been thru the narrows and up to the falls since. Been thru staircase a few times since but seek that big rush on the snow these days.

Thanks for the memories IDAHDOO!

Come up to Empire, I'll catch you a ride up west fork CC!

That's what you meant by big water... right? :p

Four years ago, 4th of July weekend, our raft turned over on the upside of Staircase (elephant rock?). The rapids were considerably bonier that run but the temps were still pretty dang close to melted snow. It's the closest I've come to kissing my a$$ goodbye (pretty much everything that could go wrong did: a considerable kick to the head from another person in the boat, getting tangled in the throw line under the raft, bouncing off of what felt like hundreds of rocks, a forced knee dislocation and swimming to the WRONG SIDE OF THE RIVER). I haven't been able to go through that rapid again...but maybe if i went UP it I could get over it. :)
