Hey guys and gals just wondering what you guys use for takeing extra gas with you when you ride. I know in a gas can du. Just wondering what different systems work best. I got a 2013 pro comming and wondering what you thought would work the best and look good too.

Up grade to the trail tank, 15-15 1/2 gallons and uses the useless space under the seat. PR racing? On here has them pretty reasonably priced. If you need more than that run the stock vent line to a fiver mounted as close to the front of the tunnel as possible until it's empty then you can move it rearward for more aggressive playing.

I also use a mountain addiction track rack. Great product, I also have the large tunnel bag when I don't need the extra gas.

I dont like the the trail tank look and the gas rack with slides looks like it might ice up anyother out there?

They never ice up, especially with a heated Polaris Raw tunnel. You can always go with a regular can, straps, and aluminum frame. If you want a "fancy" can go with a Powder Keg.

You might not like the look, but it keeps the weight where the tunnel is strong enough to handle it. If you chose to mount a can rack further back you should dump it into the main tank as soon as possible to save the additional leverage on the known weak point fore and aft of the rear rear suspension mount.

I have mountain addiction setup on 4 sleds. Never have a problem with the slides icing up. Best setup I've ever used.

Fab Craft has an inexpensive mount for $50-70 that uses a hooked strap to secure down to the mounts on the sled. I used to use it for gas before I got my first mountain addiction setup, now I just use it for when I need to strap the chainsaw down, or broken parts while in the backcountry.

Craigerbuilt here. Works well. Although I have to say that with the Pro we seldom need extra fuel. But here, we are within 10 miles of our good riding. A 50 mile day can be a good one.

I use a couple of hardwear store gas cans, and a VMI rack and simply use a few bunjies to hold them down. If I were to do things over again, I would go with the Mountain Addaction system.

I run the Roto Pax 2 gallon can. They have larger gas cans or ones that are just storage. The mount is great.

Mountain addiction by a mile. Used craggerbuilt & others and the mountain addiction is far superior especially on the pro. Ice was never an issue for me. I prefer separate tank that you can throw the weight off and save the fuel for emergency rather than a trail tank where you either fill it & carry extra weight all day or don't feel it & risk running low... that's my opinion anyway.

Take your new sled out and test your mileage. The Pro RMK gets great mileage and you may find a gas can isn't necessary. Friends report 70 mile days on a tank. Less weight can be a good thing.

Agree with sdmc...

I have an 11 Pro and have never once ran out of gas....and these are all day rides.

In deep Tahoe snow, I'll run out of gas at 57 miles.

Thanks guys for your input. I'm curently looking at the powder keg my uncle has one and he really likes it lot of money but looks nice, it might be worth it.

i have the powderkeg, its a great set up. can use the waterproof container and the fuel can, or just one or the other. around home i just run the container, in the hills i run both.
