How much does it cost? 1 or 2 years? Can you buy 1 year exteneded and then the next year another is it a 1 shot deal? When is the "deadline" to extend the warrenty.

My 2 year is up Nov 08. 07 800 rev.

I wouldn't do it. any warranty you have to buy they have it figured out to make money.

Even on the 07 I would take my chances. Even if you have warranty, it doesnt guarantee they will have parts any time soon and be able to help you out quickly and just maybe the opposite. At the end of the day you're still getting towed out and your weekend is ruined.

crooks

Generally extended warranties are through aftermarket companies, even if they are offered from ski-doo or pol or any of the others it is through a different comapny. From what I have experienced in the past if you need to make a claim under the extended part of the warranty it is much more difficult to get the failure covered because there is always fine print that has to be gone through and if there is no definate reason for the failure, it will not be covered. Save your money and take your chances, the extended warranties are for making money and that is it.

If you do it, be sure to keep all of your maintenance records and any receipts for any maintenance items you purchase so you have some ammo if you need to fight over something.

yea, we lost the motor on our 06 X and had the extended warranty that cost us $500.00 and the put a complete motor in for 50 bucks--probably a $2500.00 job--my 08 will have one and so will my 09--best money spent---oh yea when the motor went they also put a new clutch on at no charge:confused::confused::confused:

No hassle about replacement?

To answer the second half of your question, you can buy the BEST warranty from your local Doo dealer as long as you still have a valid warranty on the machine. The original or other extended warranty qualify. I believe it is around $500 for an additional 2 years but it may be 3. Wy T/A knows.

Be sure to shop around!

I opted for the second year engine warranty on my 07X, it expires in November. I called around to extend my engine coverage for an additional year and was quoted $450 at one shop, $800 at another and $1050 at the local shop I use! Needless to say - $450 is the route I took.

What? its an 07!

Stopped by the local dealer and the quote was 1600$ for 1 year and 2000$ if I wanted 2 years coverage.

Holly crappola batman.

4 dealers in Alberta......all are quoting about the same price.

1year 1500$

2years 2000$

Anyone in Alberta/Canada for that matter getting better prices?

if your going to keep the sled a couple of years I would get the Warrenty due to the 07 cranks are going out around 800 to 1200 miles on average..is it leagal for you to buy the best warrenty in the states and use it in Canada?? if so ,, thats what I would do and yes Wyoming T/A is right Call Dustin..
