okay new question, LOL

Challenger 2 159" x 2"
or
159"Polaris Series 4 159" x 2 1/8"

is there much improvement going from a 151 x 2" stock to any of the above tracks?(your only adding maybe 4inches) which i can do without changing my drivers and so on.

the 900s came with 2.0 lug and 2.4, is measuring the only way you can tell the difference?

if they came with 2.4 can you say run 2.5lug track is there room? or did they come with different drivers and top wheels from the factory.

The 900 uses two different tunnels. The 144,151 and the 159, 166.

If you put a 159 on a 151 your flap will be about 1-2 inches off the back of the track.

I put a 163 on mine and had to get a tunnel extension.

Huge Improvement

No, break out a tape measure

No, they ran a 2.4 because a 2.5 won't fit unless you change to smaller front drivers like I did

Hope that helps

when i went on the oem parts listing, they listed, 151x2- 151x2.4 /159 x 2 - 159 x2.4/ and 166 x2.4

i see you have a 159 and 166, should i save my money and convert to a bigger track next year or do you think a 159 for this year, will be good enough for a 2nd year rider. (trying to keep upto the 05 ski doo 800 151).

also any suggestion on which track? i find the Polaris fingers soft compared to the skidoo 800, maybe this is why it doesn't grab the powder well.

I don't personally recommend the 166, 159 is a good length for deep powder. 166 is harder to maneuver through the trees, just ask Guido....lol. You can find the series iv tracks for new cheep. Not sure if the 159 is going to give you enough clearance on the track with a 151 tunnel but it might work.

Which do you think is a better deep powder track, camoplast challenger or the series 4?

Good question, someone else is going to have to answer this one. I got the challenger because it is lighter. I also am running 7 tooth 2.86 pitch drivers that are smaller.

If you talk to the Tracks usa boys they will tell you the series IV 159" or 166" 2.4" lug track is one of the best out there.
I ran a 06 900 159" 2.4" lug with the SLP flash and pipe setup and there was no way any 05 rev would be able to keep up.

BTW the stock track pitch is 2.52" so keep that in mind when choosing a track.

Agree totally !! My sled was pretty much the same as IceCaps and it took a very well built Rev to beat it. IMHO, the 159 x 2.4 Series IV is a great powder track.

im looking at the track usa site. they only list the polaris 4 in a 2-1/8 lug not a 2.4.
after doing some research you can't get the 2.4 lug it was a polaris thing. only the 2 1/8 lug
