Ext warranty

I bought a 06 fusion 900 i know it have some problems i bought it from a polaris dealer and got a 2 year warranty throught after care is this a good warranty? and are the 900 good motors? how many miles are you guys putting on them with little or no problems with motors?
thanks

thats a darn good warranty if they guarteened it with the sled. standard for new sleds is 1 year warranty and then you can PURCAHSE an extended warrarty for $700 and up.(not too cheap to buy extended warranty) some like it that arnt gear heads and others that are think its a waste of money in a sense.

thats my two cents

900 motor

I have a 06 900 with slp pipe, can, intake, and radiator delete.

I have had all the updates done and keep up on any service bulletins.

I have just over 1600 miles on mine with ZERO issues other than blowing a couple belts over the years.

I was told that clutch balancing is a MUST for these motors so every fall I pull the clutch off and make sure each of the weights is exactly the same weight.

I do take good care of mine and grease it regularly and do all the maitenence to it and it has been an awesome and very dependable sled so far.

There are tons of great threads about these motors here and over on the other site too.

Simple maintenence and I think the 900 is an awesome motor.

I have 3200 on my 06 700 - The 9's little brother

I too have had little issues, except for normal wear & tear

* New Top end due to frayed oiler cable... a must check every year
* New motor mounts and update with new torque arm & stop

You should take the rad out (25 lbs in lost weight) and put in a new airbox..IMO. Put in the F & I, not the SLP if you ever want to put a after market front bumper.
See my sig for the minor mods I've done to it

This 700 is all the sled I need..... it runs, climbs, sidehills like champ

for my opinion on the other ?'s you had. well i have ridden it 3 times since i just bought it brand new. i in specific live in michigan and ride in the u.p. where i believe you run into most problems like people do on here due to all of there elevation changes. for me the only thing i changed since getting the sled was put the upgraded belt on. for me everything is running as normal right now and no need to do anything else. alotta these guys go crazy and all out on their sleds where with limited money not too many of these things are a must i think. i ride about 65% trail and 35% off trail.

theres my 2 cents on the rest of your ?'s

ok thanks alot everyone. Has anyone heard of the ext warranty after care and is it any good.my sled had 2200 miles on it when i bought it never owned dealer demo and they never sold it so they gave me the two year warranty throught after care sled in mint cont it looks like it's never seen snow.

what do you mean by after care??? i know the standard warranty is usually always one year standard warranty when you buy a sled, so you got a steal on the 2 year warranty. i would think if the sled seemed like it has never seen snow what the heck did the dealer do with that demo to put 2200MILES on that thing.
