Exhaust hole sealing method

What methods are you guys using to seal the ap around the can where it exits in the wheel well? My M7 likes to bog when it is on its right side and the snow is piled up arond it stopping the escape of the exhaust fumes. I run a Bdx intake if that matters.

Thanks!

I to had this problem on my M1000 with Black Diamond air box,so this year I went to a Speedwerxs tunnel dump exhaust system.
I have been out a few times this season in nipple deep powder and had no problems sucking exhaust at all.
It even quieted my sled down a bit to people watching a the bottom of the hill,but still sounds the same to me standing on the machine.
IMO Arctic Cat mountain sleds should come with this can right from the factory.Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Dave

I would like to do that but there are pretty strick rules about stock cans on our NH trails that run near residences. It isn't worth the $100 fine to risk running an aftermarket can. I think if I can seal the hole around the can and the outlet it won't blow back under the hood as bad.

There is also a rubber gasket you can puchase from Arctic Cat that they started using on the 2009's and 10's.It is what you are looking for,it fits pretty snug on around the stock can in the outlet.You can check it out online at most Cat dealers.It was a up date they put on 08's,I never got mine because they wanted to do a reflash on my ccu at the same time.

The gasket came factory on the 2010's. None on the '09's. I just ordered the gasket for my 09.

Thanks for the link! I like the foil tape idea, cheap and easy but like something more permanent like the gasket.

On my old 900 I bought a silicone baking sheet and cut a tight fitting
gasket and sandwiched between the bellypan and the outlet.
Held up to the heat and worked well.:beer;

That is it.:D Thanks so much.:beer;:beer; I have been searching for a soft/heat resistant material for the top of the exhaust bracket I built.

My old lady has the bread pans like that . I was shocked when they did not melt . Cool stuff , it would work great . I have watched them take 400 degrees like it is nothing .

The old ladys gonna be pi**ed when her silicon cup cake pan comes up missing. Great idea. I'm headed for the shop.
