Ever wonder why SLP is still in business & PSI isn't?

i run twin slp stickers..one on each side of my hood..10+ ponys right there..and a psi on the inside of the outhouse just in case i run out of TP..BUT we all know slp and polaris are in bed togther anyways

Its not really SLP and Polaris its the middle man thats doing both of them, Max from tri-city, all they run for pipes and stuff is SLP and Max usually has a big hand in R&D with SLP and polaris so he kind of pushes SLP stuff at polaris. I worked there for a while and saw this a lot same with Walker Evans stuff as he is a client of tri-city so his stuff gets pushed pretty hard.

I think SLP is still around because they did things right in terms of product, marketing and getting together with big name OEM's on some stuff. Also they stuck to their guns, offered a wide range of items. PSI in my opinion rode a huge aftermarket wave when things weren't that great with the OEM's and when the OEM's caught up PSI wasn't able to hang?

I've had great luck with SLP, had an SLP pipe for my 900 warrantied with no problem. They are very good with customer service and will keep getting my business. I won't knock PSI as I have never run anything from them.

BTW, what ever happened to Hot Seat?

I thought Speedwerx owned them but they still make pipes,heads...etc for the edge models. Just wondering why they never developed performance parts for the CFI's.

Polaris has to have somebody that will rebuild all there cranks.

SLP stuff just works. I have a single pipe on my 06 600 and that rocks. SLP claims 10 hp which should be around 135. I think they may be telling the truth.

I bought an extended brake line for one of my Yamahas a while back. It ended up SLP's supplier sent them a batch with the wrong ends on them. To make a long story short, SLP sent me another line UPS express prepaid into Canada, no questions asked and I returned the other one by regular mail. This is on a cheapassed brake line that they wouldn't make much on. I was impressed and I always check to see if SLP carries something before I look elsewhere. They made a customer out of me.
