Glad to hear your friend is still riding! I think he might have been a bulk agent in Dawson Creek if I remember right. It was the efi on his Polaris RXL that kept it running even upside down. His story really highlights the need to stick together as a riding group since when something bad happens the quicker your buddies can be there the better! Trying to go back up a trail to find someone in the dark can take way too long if its serious.
I was thinking of him when my brother-in law had a similar incident last winter when his whole leg got caught between the tunnel and track after he flipped off somehow. Fortunately for him with the rubber paddles now he did not lose his leg but it looked like he had been beat with a rubber hose mercilessly for hours! He even ended up with some internal injuries as well and was lucky to recover after several months.
