Ethanol free gas?

ethanol

Sinclair is the only refinery left in Utah that sells conventional gas. One Stop in Heber is trying to keep its premium ethanol free, as long as there is supply. Farther away the Sinclair in Eureka is still Ethanol free. The new Larry Miller Pro Stop in Draper will sell 110 octane at the pump when they open.

I'll be in Hyrum and Logan tomorrow. I'll check both Phillips and see if they still have the ethanol free gas.

I used to get it at Hart's in AF, they now have ethanol in all their gas:face-icon-small-fro Looking for some non-ethanol gas to gas up the sleds and get them ready to ride. Any one know of locations?

nate, dont know about ethanol free, but there is a station on the northish end of state in orem - cant remember the name - that sold 100+ octane from the pump. is the higher octane eth. free? linc always filled there. give him a call and ask him the details....

get ready to go....

Looks like we need to plan a Sledding trip, and as a bonus I can get some decent fuel!

Hi all, Called Craigs Service located at 904S 1300E in Salt lake today. He said his Premium 92 Octane does not have Ethanol. Ethanol gas pretty much destroyed my old Mercury outboard so I don't think I will run it in my sleds if I don't have to.

Just filled up at Craigs this weekend. His pumps are on 24/7. About $3.93 for 92 ethanol free.

So I don't know if this is true or not but could someone let me know. I was told that premium did not have ethanol in it. If anyone can find out an answer that would help us all.

FYI: Pro Stop fuel centers sell 110 octane fuel. I don't need it but noticed it at the new one down the street from us.

Very rare is it that premium is ethanol free. Some stations may claim this but I've tested their gas and in fact it did have 5% ethanol in their so called "premium ethanol free"

all about fuel lehi

I think it is a conoco station. Owner assures me the premium has no ethanol in it.

Its located on main street aboit 1/2 way between round about and smiths on redwood.

I tested that newer gas station on main street in Lehi. I think its called all about fuel. Their premium E free had 5% ethanol.

It is super easy to test if gasoline is bearing ethanol.

Take a water bottle. Fill it up with 1" of water. Make a mark on the bottle of where the water level is. Then fill the bottle up with a few inches of gas.
Shake violently.

You can see a water level line. If it's not in line With the original water mark, it has ethanol.

This technique does not show % of ethanol present, just if ethanol is found.

One stop has ethanol in all grades now. Only place in Heber for non ethanol is the Silver Eagle and only in 91 octane. They don't know how long they will be ethanol free though.

I don't know how true it is, but when I called at craigs he said the Premium fuel he gets has to come out of Las Vegas to be free of Ethanol. So that is where he said he gets it from. And thats why its 92 instead of 91 octane. I really hope this is all true.
