Ethanol free gas?

I used to get it at Hart's in AF, they now have ethanol in all their gas:face-icon-small-fro Looking for some non-ethanol gas to gas up the sleds and get them ready to ride. Any one know of locations?

All gas refined and sold in Utah is now blended with ethanol.

Only way to get out of it would be to pay the higher prices and get 100LL or Race. That would be throwing away a lot of money in a stock sled.

Agree with the above.....I think the days of non blended fuel are over.:face-icon-small-con

we got a few spots here we can find it, but, the airport idea might be cheaper than a quick drive to alaska. and then once you got here youd end up stayin and then youd have to move all your stuff...and that would just all be a big hassle. and besides, were payin $4.15 a gal for reg unlead:face-icon-small-dis. what happened to $0.98 a gal??!!

Yes, but expensive and waste of octane and money if you aren't running higher compression or have other needs for higher octane fuel.

100LL is currently $5.47/gallon :face-icon-small-sho

They asked, I responded. Good luck finding non ethanol fuel...

Agreed, sorry my response was not to be contradictory or negative to yours. Just trying to point out that the additional cost and potential loss of HP would not be worth it just to not have 5-10% ethanol run through your sled.

I would be interested though to see any factual/hard evidence that ethanol is as bad for your 2 stroke motor as they claim it is??

That piece I don't have any knowledge of, but I ran as much blended fuel as regular fuel through my sled last season and have not noticed any adverse affects.....YET! That is on 14.1 compression on 91 oct.

No, you're good. My sled was not naturally aspirated and I've been buying 100ll from Skypark the last 2 years and been happy. The fuel thing is a total mess and you never know what to believe - especially online ;)

Just a little hidden secret, there's a Hadock Petroleum (formerly Jardine) here in NSL that sells that sells VP 110 race fuel from the pump. They also sell regular fuel but it does have ethonal.

There is a gas station in Hyrum that advertises that it is ethanol free.

I was gonna say the Petro station off 2600 South sells race fuel from the pump. Last i knew it was around $6 a gallon... could be more.

Ethanol isnt going to hurt your stock sled. You will see a difference in performance on a boosted sled, probably with big bores, and other sleds that are really picky about good fuel.

Last one I know of in Cache Valley...

Hyrum and the Phillips 66 on 4th north is ethanol free.

I've seen something at my dealer that its an additive that you put in your sled so you can run ethanol but without all the problems of it. I can't remember the name but I'll find it out.

My F7 has a switch right on the dash for "ethanol". Guess that got discontinued after 2003 though?

Mooch's now has ethonal. I filled up my Harley there last week, and they've got the 10% sticker now...

Good link, thanks..
