I wanted to let everyone know about an issue that came up when installing the new Etec 600/800 Fuel controllers for turbo applications. This a new controller for this year and does not require wiring into power or ground. The kit is a complete plug n play kit for everything.
Issue:
When completing the install people are starting the sleds without the Factory Gauge Plugged in. This will cause the controller to not have a good ground and the coils will be taken out because of this.
There are several other sensors on the stock Skidoo snowmobile that get their ground from the Gauge being plugged in. Any Skidoo sled should never be started without the Gauge plugged in.
MAKE SURE THE GAUGE IS PLUGGED IN AT ALL TIMES when the controller is installed on the sled. The gauge can easily be remove from the console with a flat screwdriver if needed.
Any other questions please let me know.
Thanks,
