Best service worth?

Well, does paying $400 more for a sled worth the service one gets at a dealership worth buying there? :confused: Catch my drift?
$400 saved can mean that much more riding, and I believe I can be taken care of properly because money talks. $8500 or $8100, which would you pay? And you know that extra money just goes into your dealer's Mercedes Benz fund, lol :beer;

Title should be best instead of est.

My dealer charges more than the guy 20 miles east, but also values the trades a little better, as a rule. He is also the type of guy that would loan you a sled, or invite you to his cottage for a day or weekend. I would just pay the money, and plan on getting it back later on the trade in.

None of the 5 new sleds that I've bought so far have ever been back to the dealer, so show me the money. I will say that Extreme in Castle Rock gave me an awesome deal on my 08 and been very friendly and even remember my name when I go in. So in this case I got the best price and great service so far.

The dealer's here in Fairbanks have treated me great, I could probably shop down south but the personal recognition and attention keep me coming back. Both the Doo and the Poo dealership have been great to deal with over the years.

it all depends...

I am about as cheap as they come and will always shop for the best deal. I have spent as much as I have saved many times on trips to pick something up that I have bought..cars, motorcycles, etc. However, In my opinion snowmobiles have a much higher probability of going south on you and needing that dealer support under warranty. I do do all of my own maintenance and repairs when they are out of warranty but If the sled is a lemon and needs warranty, where will you take it? $400 is nothing to sneeze at but if the guy takes care of you it may be well worth it in the long run. Course I would beat him up about the 400, maybe he will come down a bit? If he really knows you are ready to buy the price may come down..

I'd pay extra to get it from a good dealer. That dealer who charges more might pay closer attention to detail in their set-up, or have more knowledgable staff in their service department.

It also works the other way around. I go out of my way to avoid my local cat dealer (Heinen's in Osseo, MN) because of some of the stunts they've pulled on me.

Paying a little more to get follow up service/recall work is important.You don't want to be put on the back burner by a dealer who has your money but cares nothing about you after the sale.Chris at Xtreme in Castle Rock,Colorado knows my wife and myself by name, and has always given me excellent service(bought 2 sleds 02 RMK,stage 1 mod ,07 X trailer,gear++)mucho maintance 02 RMK,wifes original 00 RMK 5,The X.I bring my sled to the north store in Erie and Charlie in service has taken good care of me on warranty issues on my 07 X even fixing clutch mods while I wait:clock:.Spending a little more is worth this IMO

I personally drive from Reno, Nv to Orem just to go to Cutler's......his service is over the top......service is all most retailers have to offer anymore...everyone carrys the same crap and everyone surfs the net for the "best price" then most beat up the dealer for an extra 200 bucks, or how about a free?? you know the gig...but I tell ya the GOOD dealers know that CUSTOMER SERVICE is all that it's about and they WILL earn your business IMHO ;-)

Depends on the dealer not the deal. Just make sure you get a good dealer and then pay if you have to.

I've been with my dealer 25 years, dirt bikes, PWC's, ATV's, Rhino, and snowmobiles. He has never let me down and always makes things work. This is the one place I like to spend money at.

Raising a new baby that is 7 months old I need to save a few bills now and then. And my service guy knows I'll shop elsewhere if I have to, and he'll take care of me if the need be.
