Yep that's a great movie! My Aunt from MI said they went to the theater to watch it and the people didn't think it was funny... they take der deer huntin' so seriously most people prolly thought it was a documentary.

The pre release party was in '00, as I moved to the D in jan '00 and moved out in '01. I know the michigander pre release party was pre the release date.

Great movie, I'm from MI so that made it even more funny.

Written, Directed and Starred in all by Jeff Daniels.
He was born in Georga but grew up in Chelsea MI.
His family still owns and runs the Chelsea Lumber Co.
The movie was filmed entirely in Escanaba.

Who all has seen this movie?? we watched it today in our shop class and i laughed harder than I had in a long time!.. once was not enough, so i got it again and my mom watched it with us, she laughed so hard she cried!

I seen the play it was pretty funny
