Eratic F9 behaviour..tack cuts out sputters

I have an 03 F7 EFI with a D&D Bigbore kit. Sled usually runs with no issues at all. Started it up this week to go for a rip on a bit of snow and the motor stutters, misses and the tach will all of a sudden shut off like no power to it then it will fire back up and run. I bypassed the Throttle safety switch and no luck there. Looked for obvious shorts but cant locate one. Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply. The plug wires are in great shape. Im wondering if a bad stator could cause this problem. Somebody out there has had the same problem on their M I know it!!
 
A buddy of mine had a similar problem with his M7 and it turned out to be a shorted out hand warmer. Might not be your problem but it is worth a look.

Also, for what it's worth, when my stator went out I didn't have any issues with the tach cutting out.

thanks, I will look into that, as my right hand warmer did pooch near the end of the season last year.


Was also wondering if running my mesh hood last spring at the end of the season, and no head light etc, toasted the power regulator or something. Would that cause the missing and the machine to shut down and fire up again?
