I ordered a new 24ft triton lowboy and was wondering if anyone uses a equilizer hitch on there snowmobile trailers? I have a 32ft bumper hitch camper i use a equilizer hitch and it's works great. thanks for any info

i figured i would have to build a bracket to make it work, just curious if i would need one it sounds like these trailers really pull nice.

I do run an equalizer hitch on my trailer, but it's steel and weighs in at 5k lbs empty (note it's not hooked up in this picture).

What kind of truck are you pulling the 24' trailer with? Half ton I'd run an equalizer with sway bar, but if it's a 3/4 ton I wouldn't worry about it!

I've got a new 8.5x27ft enclosed and plan on using sway bars with it. Towing with a 3/4t dmax so i don't really need the equalizer part. After towing it empty down the interstate it would def be nice to have something to control the trailer better and the brackets that mount to the trailer were cheap from the dealer. Just gotta weld or bolt them to the tongue.

With that truck you would probably be good without it but if it don't take much to install it wouldn't hurt. I ran one trip with an equalizer hitch installed and one without on my Yukon xl and you could tell the difference. It helped level the truck and trailer as well since they don't have the suspension of a 2500hd.
