I just installed installed a vent kit from http://www.epicsleds.com on a 2010 M8 SP 162.

I was very happy with the quality of this kit. It included everything I needed for a clean install like colored 3/16" rivets, backing washers, template and thorough installation instructions. The total install took about 1.5 hrs including clean up.

Here's the before pic:

First thing was to remove the side panels and take off the insulation pads on the inside of them. I then cut out and fit the template to the area. I used a sharpie to trace the ID so I had some guide lines showing where to drill the holes. You can remove the entire center area if you want but it was suggested that it was unnecessary and would better protect the vents from the close proximity to the clutches if holes were drilled instead.

Once the holes were done, I cleaned em up with a razor blade then lightly swept the area with a propane torch to remove the fuzzies and smooth the edges of the openings:

I carefully lined up the vent cover with the filter cartridge and drilled the rivet holes through to the panel using the aluminum piece as my template. I then installed the rivets insuring that everything was laying completely flat and centered. It worked best working from one side to the other.

It went together nicely. The pieces fit well to the plastic side panels. This should really improve the cooling of the clutch area as well as the entire engine compartment and greatly improve belt life.

Now just waiting for more snow so I can put them to the test:D

Here are a few pictures of the end result:

Vents seem to work great! The snow is still wet and heavy but the vents remained clear. The increase in engine noise was hardly noticeable and the clutches are definitely cooler.
