The powder was insane this weekend, its been raining in town all week so I didnt know what to expect heading up boulder on Saterday with Brendon and crew. I new it was snowing up top but but i didnt think it was gunna be the 4 feet of amazing fluff we showed up too!!

Dont worry everyone, we left copious amounts of untracked and the forcast is for sun later this week. How could you ask for more!! The snowpack seems to be safe too, I certainly did not see anything moving so Come on out and play!!! Here are a few pics from the weekend.

Awesome weekend in the POW

Great pictures Laird, ...wow, two days of the "most excellant" deep powder riding...., in Revelstoke's famous champagne powder. The upper ridge was somewhat blown off so it was not too deep up top, however, most of that snow must have settled down in the lakes, as it was crazy deep!!!

Saturdays POW was nearly bottomless, the "old high miler" was working hard to keep up with Laird and Brendon, ..often resembling a submarine. We had about five hours of total blue skies on Saturday, enough time to wear us all out for sure.

Sunday looked like it was going to be a whitout ride, it was snowing on the way up to the cabin, very white going across the upper ridge, but once we dropped back into the Lakes we were more than pleasantly surprised to get clear visibility with some occassional blue skies. We had received another four inchs of fresh that morning, but the real deep stuff had set up a bit, such that it was a bit easier riding and playing, ..not quite as many stucks for me...lol. Later in the afternoon, the sun came out and was beckoning us to come up top a to play, so we ripped back to Turbo Mountain in the fresh and deep, ....carving/jumping and playing all the way there and back. As for coming back, a cloud had settled in on the high ridge, very white, couldn't see 10 feet in front of us, when we stopped back at the fuel drop we were all covered in frozen white fog from the cloud, pretty cool!!

We didn't see another sled, (other than our group), beyond the Superbowl all weekend.

As Laird said, ..it was definately one of those EPIC weekends for sure, ..just one of the reasons that we live here in beautiful Revelstoke...!!!!

Cheers to all.
