March Climbin Pics! Caslegar and Revy!!

Great Vids Duke! Lapper just pulled into Revy so I think I may go join in the fun on sunday!!

Wow Neils! What a sweet turn around!!
Thanks Lairdo, I hate when you can reach and touch the top but you just know the sled's not going over. That was definately some deeeep pow for April and a good end to the season. I have some decent helmet cam vid, but of course no idea how to load it.:face-icon-small-ton.
Hey Zeb, once I put the 3 inch on my Apex, I have trouble getting off the thing, and we know that Apex motor still rips!
What happened to Yamaha belts this year? We have blown at least 7 of them to bits this year and that never used to happen. Maybe like everything else...they found someone who would make them for a couple bucks less. It's a bit unnerving when your pointed up something big and you don't know if your belt is going to explode or not.:boom:

Ha MN , so Laird was right after all about the 3 inch CE , glad i listened to him , and yes after going to it , i had problem blowing belts as well , had to gear down , i think with the 3 inch track hooking up so much better it is loading the drive system up and putting alot more heat into it and that is causing the belt to blow , once i geared down , no more belt boom .:face-icon-small-hap

That's it. The son graduates in 2 years and then I am moving to Revy. Hubby can follow if he wants, but I am moving to the snow and the
incredible riding. Someone has to need a Computer Systems Analyst with a strong Oracle background and by then 21 yrs of experience to
work 3 days per week so I can ride 4 days per week, unless you want to hire me to ride sleds, then I will work 7 days per week for you.

Killer photos........................

More March Pics...

As I am sure everyone was/is aware, March 2010 was a crazy month for us in Revelstoke, the El Nino system out in the Pacific caused some major uncharacteristic weather systems in our area, resulting in non-cohesive snow layers, ...in other words it was dangerous out there. We have sledded on Boulder for a long time, and have not seen conditions as tenuious as this ever!

March 6th we had about a foot of fresh powder and sunshine. We broke fresh powder all the way into the Lakes area, ..no tracks as usual, we pushed on back through the treed meadows, ..tenuously though, as every little nob or hill was sluffing as we approached it. The new fallen snow was not sticking to the last hoar frost we had recieved.

Incidently, we did a test pit of sorts, we choose a small safe slope in a safe area, and cut through the snow layers with some Turbo power, after a couple of passes we knocked the slope down, allowing us to do some up-close inspection of the snow layers.

In the first pic, you can clearly depict the two hoar layers..., ..one could scoop up the Hoar crystals in your hand, ..like they grew last night!!!

After seeing what was happening with the snow pack, we stayed clear of anything questionable and did some playing in the trees...

Not our usual "chute climbing" excitment, but photo evidence of T-Yammies in the trees...lol.

Cheers

I love that lost shot....

Perhaps I have a biased opinion, ...but I like the progression of last sequence of shots, ...in particular, Laird's body position in the last pic, ...counter steering for sure...., right elbow forward, right shoulder as well, ..eyes focussed forward..., ...in the groove, ....in his zone!!!

Kinda cool!!!

My Favorite Pic of Revy

Here is my favorite pic of Revy. It has been my desktop pic since I took it in June 2003 (I have 3 screens at work, so it is 3 times as good).

I realize that it is not this season, but it is worth it.

BTW, I set the superman exit pic of Neil (that is who Thistledoo said it was) as my lock screen on my new phone. It is a real eye catcher.
