I have a Nikon D90, and absolutely love it. I haven't had it too long, but so far i am nothing but extremely happy with it. 4.5 FPS is a sufficient speed for sequence shots. very durable and water tight. Go buy one. you wont be disappointed.

Love My Nikon D300, you may be happy with 4.5 fps now, just don't ever try anything faster

Pair it with the 18-200mm VR lens and that's about as good as it gets IMHO. That combo should be all you'll ever need unless you're making your living with a camera.

The Nikon D40 is a GREAT "little" camera. Very light and compact. The shots that can be taken, as seen in earlier posts, are very,very good. Too many people think it is the camera that makes the shot. They believe if they get a new D700 Nikon their shots will be stellar. NOT!!!! It is amazing what a good photographer, say Veedy, and see what he can do with a camera such as a D40 Nikon. You would be amazed.
