End of the Day on Boulder (pic)

And you'll fix that toilet 6 more times before my next oil change. Hahahaha

haha probally.... considering our sleds in the north go through a severe beating not like the revelstoke groomed woman trails...... come on and do some real tree riding and that is were the yamahas fail every single time.....

Shot these last year of a heli going in, didn't wait for him to come back out.

If I owned a heli business, I would sell heli insurance. Pay $100 per year and it entitles you to 1 free lift up to $1000 service. The numbers could be changed to make it profitable but the idea is what I am talking about. Who wouldn't pay and extra $100 on their trail pass at Revy for this insurance?? I would. Couldn't the club make some money off a scheme like this too? Been saying it for years.

Depending on the Helicopter rates go from $800hr and up, plus fuel. Some companies give breaks, a flat rate for pickups off popular sledding areas. I heard the Smithers sled club does the pitch in an extra $20 or something and if you need a heli the club flips the bill.

As far as riding in the Helicopter while it is packing anything underneath it, VERY illegal, in Canada anyways, it happens but it shouldn't. So if you were lucky enough to catch a ride with your sled, I would keep it on the downlow.

Super cheap to fly sleds off Boulder in Revy. Think of it this way, Hook 2 sleds in front of the dead one....wreck the rear bumper on the first sled, front and rear on the second sled, maybe a belt or 2, whats that? 500? 600 bucks? Coulda flown it out for 400 and not had to worry about fixin 2 other sleds that were playing tow truck, PLUS the other guys arent down an extra day of riding for helping get the sled out. Everyones got their own way of looking at it, this is just my own opinion.

More like $1500.00 an hour. I have been choppered out from the Pemberton Ice Cap with a blown stator once and it was $700.00 (25 minutes) and once with a blown motor from Grizzly Lake $750.00 (1/2 an hour). That is only if you pay them cash. The second time, the pilot dropped it right on my sled deck!

We couldn't get him to drop ours in the truck, liability issue,Was $650 behind monster bowl, eagles pass 4 years ago.I'm sure the price has changed.

Here in MT we just pack in another engine and transplant it.

Chopper here is $1200 and up for him to pick your sled and set it at your trailer.

Friend sleft a sled up turtle mt (revy )went back with parts and couldnt find the sled for a while even though they gps it,,,it was 4 ft below them.

Don't forget, after making your buddies work like dogs for half a day, you are buying supper and drinks. That alone can add up to the heli bill. The last sled we flew out was only $350 bucks. Dropped it right in the back of the truck.

Yep, we have some pics like that when my husband snapped the crank and exploded the primary. I will have to find those.

IT IS "SELKIRK, THE WAY OUT!" not Polaris.

Heli ride was cheaper than the broken Walker Evans shock, the broken fiberglass hood on my sled because another 4M member attempted to turn out on my sled with the other sled in tow. Yep, much easier and cheaper just to fly it out. Oh, and the rider typically gets to ride for free, so you do not have to ride double on a sled all the wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy out.
