Only one real place to park when you go to Encampment, unles you go all the waaaaay around to the Baggs side and thats near the Bottle Creek area off of hwy 70. Couldnt tell you how the snow is.

I would also like to know how this warmup is affecting the snow out there. We have a group of 4 coming out there first week in march. Looking forward to it

A few of us where thinking of going out there the first part of March to. Never been there so how will the snow be? Or should we look to go somewhere else?

Rode the Madres yesterday.
Spring "go anywhere" conditions right now, but supposed to get snow thursday. Should be great again then.

Side note....The Bear Trap resturant in Riversidee has Guiness on tap!

Not to mention awesome nightly food specials at the Bear Trap as well! As others have stated there is only area to park on the encampent side. Just follow the road until you can't go anymore, however there are lots of different areas to ride!!!!

Thanks for info guys. Just a few more ?s How big is riverside and is that a better spot to hang out at night than encampment. We are staying in encampment but looks like they are pretty close, never been to either town.

I would say Riverside...they have way more going on in the late hours of the evening and most of the time have strippers brought in to give the flat landers all a good little show...just make sure to tip them well.

As for the snow!! Well it actually SUCKS right now. We have been getting hammered by the wind!!! The wind has been blowing for the last 3 weeks non stop!! We have had gust everyday in the upper 70's mph. So with this wind the snow is set up like spring snow... Both Ranges just received 7-10 inches today but the sun came out this afternoon. Another storm is coming in on Sat. pm. Some people can still find good snow if you know where to go.
I can't stand reading post that are asking "what will the snow be like in March?" Really???

snow was decent today can't really complain, was not super deep, was setup with some soft fresh on top.
