Electric start removal

I use the WPS battery as well, not sure what the part number is, but mine has the same dimensions as my holder but is half the height. Cold starts are tough, but if you really dont like to pull start you can cycle the key 10ish times to "warm it up" and it starts.

What do you mean by "cycle the key"? Might be good info for us that have the WPS battery :)

Can you do me a favor and weigh everything you pulled out? I know it sounds dumb, but some of us like to know how much things weight. Thanks!

Sorry haven't had a chance to throw it on a scale a few days after I pulled it out I had surgery then had to go back working on the road so it's just sitting in a box in the shop. I'll try to put it on a scale when I go home. I can tell you one thing it's heavy it's a much bigger weight savings than a light weight can I'd say 25lbs give or take. I understand that the light batteries are a route that allot of guys would take to keep the convenience of not starting your sled in awkward positions but the starter is ridiculous in size and weight as well as the ring gear taking performance from the primary.

Is that including the 15lb stock battery?

I pulled the e-start off my Axys today... All the parts totaled 23lbs excluding the ring gear which is still on my clutch. While I had it all ripped apart I threw in a SLP pipe kit (why not right!?) for a few more lbs and extra ponies :face-icon-small-coo

Is it winter yet??
