EGT Gauge

I have a dual digital Koso gauge. I would like to use one for the egt and the other to put in my intake to retrieve intake temps on my turbo. Will the EGT probe work the same if I install the bung after the y-pipe collect into one before the pipe. So I guess the temp I would be reading is the temp of both cylinders together. Or should I just buy another gauge for intake temp.

They start reading temp at 300 so it won't really work. EDIT... The kick in at 250, but still basically useless.

I would also add, that monitoring each cylinder individually can be very beneficial. I think EGT's are great for both monitoring your tune, but also a nice warning to hopefully save a possible burndown. The first few rides they will stress you out, especially in the mid range!!

The egt portion will work reading back just a little further. It won't be quite as accurate and you won't see a differance in cylander temps, but look up the directions for a single probe instead of dual probe. It will tell you where to mount it.

However, Im not sure what the minimums were to heat up those probes so they actually work. I think I remembered my last set of koso's didn't read till like 250*...so it might no work for the intake temp...I'd say leave the egt's how you have them and mount something like The mini 3 ( http://www.kosonorthamerica.com/new/shop/snowmobile/mini-3-dual-temp/ ) in there to read air temp before and after the turbo in your intake if your looking to watch that.
