Edge Motorsports Closing for good.

Just heard they were closing today so I stopped by. Pretty good deals to be had. Last day is tomorrow.

As some of you may know I am pretty involved with the Edge Motorsports. Some have even asked if I own it or part of it. I dont. Just know the owner very, very well. Anyway they were involved in a huge internal theft from thier store that paralyzed them financially and were forced to close. I know today was advertised as thier last day to be open. I far as I know they have extended that closeing until Aug 6th to sell off what they can of the remaiming parts inventory. Most stuff around 30% off. Lots of Klim gear still. All the machines have been returned to the manufactureres.

There is also a couple of very interested parties talking to keep it open under new owners. Should know by the end of the week. If it does survive, you'll be happy with the knew surprise they have up thier sleve we have been working on .

Holey crap! Summit Honda? Its a tough, tough time to be in the recreation and travel bussiness. Sucks.
As an update with the Edge. There are several serious investors looking at keeping it open. Should see something final in the next few days.

Was down that way today, went to Cabela's and stopped on the way back.
They are CLOSED on Mondays the sheet said in the window but open Tues thru Sat or Sunday.
Def call first to see if they are still open so you save some gas and time.

No sad feelings about them closing on my end. I had nothing but bad experiences the few times I went. Hopefully If they do sell it and the new owner keeps it open they do somthing about the service... Just my 2c.

i stopped in there two weekends ago and didn't see any "great" deals. nothin you can't pick up online for or get from your local dealer if you know them at all. If anyone is near orem/provo and lookin for gear, try Motofrugals in north orem. I dont know them very well but the few times i've wanted new gear, they are great to deal with

Not a fan of Ski Doo but I do like the dealership. I was in and got a deal on some Klim gloves. I talked to Randy for a bit and he is pretty optimistic they will be in business this coming year. I wish they could have picked up Polaris! Oh yeah Motofrugals are great guys too!

I called on some suzuki ATV parts this past week. They had a few that I needed. Even with the 30% discount they were still more money than I can mail order them from a couple of other places online.

That was one irritating problem with the Edge... they were always 10%+ more for parts than either Wellers or Frank May. In fact, I got to where I could order the parts from Frank May, who usually had them in stock when the Edge didn't, and have them shipped to me for less than I could buy them at the Edge.

If they do reopen/stay open they need to figure out some things it sounds like.
