ECU 01 on an 09 m8

I sometimes get a code come up on the display of ECU 01. I have a cat service manual and it doesnt say what it is. It also flashes temp at the same time. The motor is not hot, as i can put my hand on it. It only comes on for a few seconds and goes back to normal even under low load conditions. I have changed the temp sensor anyways but it does the same thing. My dealer doesn't know what 01 means either. Have any of you guys seen this?

I'm interested it what this is because I was getting a code 1 today also. I got the code 17 aswell.

It could be the pipe sensor.

I have had the ecu 1 pop up multiple times and nobody can tell me what it is. For the guy with the ecu 17 definetly the exhaust temp sensor. check all the wires running to and from the sensor, if there are any frays or broken wires you wont need a new sensor, just fix the wires.

The dealer is telling me ecu 01 could mean some type of fuel pump issue. Taking mine in tommorow for repairs.
