Has anyone got their check,if so how are you going to use it?Parts for the sled, new gear, summer toys or do the responsible thing and pay some bills.
For myself unfortunately I'll be sending mine to the doctor and hospital to pay my co-pay for my surgery on the 5 broken bones in my lower leg:mad:It was a good season up to February 6th for me:(.at least I've gotten a couple late season spring rides in.

Not yet, they are sending them out based upon the last part of your social, low numbers get em first, going right back to pay taxes I owe.:(

How do I manage to be so lucky to get one?

File your taxes and in theory get back $600 for yourself another $600 for your wife and I believe $300 for each child.Haven't heard of anyone actually getting one yet though:confused:

So.........
If a couple has a boatload of kids that they cannot afford, they pay little or no income tax.

The rest of us pay too much to make up for all the people with deductions.(kids)

This stimulus is being referred to as a rebate.
So one would think those who payed the most in would get the bigger rebates?
Nooooooo.
They take the extra we pay in & give more to those who payed little or nothing in.

Ol' Bill gets horsephocked again!

So, if we spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China .
If we spend it on gasoline it will go to the Arabs.
If we purchase a computer it will go to India .
If we purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico , Honduras , and Guatemala .
If we purchase a good car it will go to Japan .
If we purchase useless trinkets, it will go to Taiwan .
And none of it will help the American economy!
We need to keep that money here in America . The only way to keep that money here at home is to spend it at yard sales, since those are the only U. S. owned and operated businesses still in operation.

So when I get my check.............i'm going yard saling!

:) 2fun

Would it be un-patriotic to spend it on Molson?
After all, Canada is our neighbor!

Budweiser, prostitution, and gambling are the other 3 things that will keep the money in the US.:D

Guess Nevada is where to spend our money to keep it here huh?:beer;

Bingo. another example of almost penalizing success.

It is a stimulus check, so they are paying the lower end to get them to spend some money to stimulate the economy. Those that are making good money right now have not really slowed down their spending. Those that are on the lower end of the income range (less than $120,000 a year) will get full rebate checks.

I don't see why you are so bitter over the lower income (anyone less than $120k) getting these checks. They are the ones that are actually going to spend it. Statistically those that have more money are going to save the money which will NOT stimulate the economy.

The entire idea is going to EFFF us for the next 15+ years. This is money we (as a country) do not have and it will take us a long as$ time to pay it back.

Success is not getting penalized. If you made more money you are not getting taxed anymore from this stimulus check. You just won't get as much or any, but if that is the case then you already made FAR more than this tiny $600 check.

I know that is one of the assumptions underlying this rebate, but would like to see statistics that back up this claim. My experience in talking with my clients is that when lower-income families receive tax refunds, property tax rebates or "stimulus checks", they tend to use it to pay down some debt, put it towards their monthly expenses, or sock it away. On the other hand, when higher-income folks with more discretionary income receive "extra" $$$, they tend to actually buy things with it, or go on trips, because it is free money to them.
