Eastwood's "It's half-time America"

As much as I'd rather have ron paul, or even donald trump in the white house I don't think Obama is a bad president. I think he genuinely wants to help the american people and tbh I'd rather he give foodstamps to 42 million people, than to send that money to feed the africa. He's putting the US first and pulling us out of our foreign conflicts(which he promised to do), and is reducing the military which like it or not is necessary for fixing our budget troubles. Also, he promised health care reform, he tried and failed because the american people no longer wanted it so it was removed. At least Obama stuck to his campaign promises of change which is something not too many other presidents can say they have done.

haha thats funny! I almost beleived you for a sec.

During the 2008 United States Presidential Election Eastwood endorsed John McCain and in February 2012, Eastwood replied that Texas Congressman Ron Paul was "'as good as anybody else' in the race but that he will decide on a candidate in another month or two after 'listening to all that crap on television."

Yeah it's pretty much an obvious Bohemian Grove Advertisement really. Filled with secret and overt references to a wicked liberal agenda that clearly were meant to endorse Obama's campaign:face-icon-small-con
That would be sarcasm...

Here's further proof of this...

And then there is this...
"I just want to say that the spin stops with you guys, and there is no spin in that ad. On this I am certain.
l am certainly not politically affiliated with Mr. Obama. It was meant to be a message about just about job growth and the spirit of America. I think all politicians will agree with it. I thought the spirit was OK.
I am not supporting any politician at this time.
Chrysler to their credit didn’t even have cars in the ad.
Anything they gave me for it went for charity.
If any Obama or any other politician wants to run with the spirit of that ad, go for it."—Clint Eastwood, to the O’Reilly Factor

It is interesting how different the perceptions of this commercial are. I am sticking with Inspirational, Motivational, and Patriotic.

Holy crap that was awesome! His Newt joke was hilarious lolol....

I agree. I appreciated the part about how many read into it thinking it was a political statement as well. Just as Eastwood said to O'Reilly, that was not the case. Damn that SNL skit was fantastic though.
I hope half the posters on this thread saw it and realized their percieved inferences may have been askew.

Swampy, you can keep trying to steer this into whatever whack job left field argument about the things it is you don't like about whomever... I'd imagine you have plenty of your own answers to your goofball questions. I was having a hard time understanding your questions, motivation, and what it has to do with this topic at all? Additionally using something close to proper spelling lends itself to credibility... Not that I'm a perfect speller, or a fart smeller, but this post was out kind of there...

Maybe reading/watching some of the links that are right in this thread may help out?
IMO It was a great ad and man that the SNL skit was outstanding!

As patriotic as pocketing all the vested stockholder money, welching on outstanding payables & neglecting ongoing relationships with longtime vendors.
All the while accepting taxpayer money.

Sorry, not a fan of GM or Chrysler any more.

"You need to get over it"
You said that to me in one of my posts. The fact is, yes the gov bailed out GM and Chrysler. If they had not this country would be in way worse shape than it is now. Where would all the unemployed workers be working now? And I am not talking just GM and Chrysler workers. It goes way deeper than that. Chrysler has paid back the Gov loans. Some would say they borrowed money to pay back the gov. So what? It just shows that lending institutes got enough confidance to loan money to Chrysler which they would not do prior to bailout time. I myself bought a new Dodge in 2010 and own a Buick. I would never buy a Ford, they are just like Danica Patrick and JR. Overated. If GM and Chrysler would have gone away I would have been one more American buying Japanese vehicles.
So in your words Mafesto. You need to get over it!

GM & Chrysler are just like that guy down the street who went out & bought a bunch of stuff on credit & then filed bankruptcy.
Then in no time he's flying high again livin the life while the rest of us honor our word, honor our debt.

No, I think I will hold the grudge for quite some time, thank you.

GM is giving their US union workers $7000 bonus each
Where is the profit sharing for the US tax payer that bailed them out?
Nice.........real f_ing nice:face-icon-small-fro

I will make it easy for you since you have trouble understanding questions. Is it your position that Bohemian Grove does not exist or is it your position that Mr. Eastwood is not a frequent visitor? Or do you even know?Swampy Oh and I haven't wasted a moment watching your SNL in 30 years it's is a real example of the deprevaty this country hass sunk to!

Here is an interesting article on how the great Ford Motor Company didn't take any government laons during the problems that Chrysler and GM had. The only difference is GM's and Chrysler's loans (bailouts) that are being paid back are highly publicized and Ford's were done on the sly all the time while they were bragging about no assistance. Yep! that's the company I want to buy my next car from. If you don't like the fact that GM is giving out bonuses to the people that actually do the work and build the product that makes the company money instead of giving the bonuses to the management like has become a common practice in this country, then you are part of the problem. And no! I am not pro union, but I do believe that the person that actually makes the product or does the work that makes the company their profit, should at the very least share the bonuses. Not the managers.
