It definitely struck me bigtime as more of a Pro American statement than anything.
Made me proud to be here in the USA and hopeful that workers and their families who have fallen on hard times will be able to find the prosperity they deserve again soon. ...And that Made in America will come to mean a lot on the quality front once again because it matters now more than ever.
Eastwood is a powerful force. The message I got out of it could have been said for any Detroit business. Especially Ford, GM, or Chrysler... Wouldn't change the message I heard one bit. American's are tough and resilient people many of which have been hammered by the economic downturn and that the success of our manufacturing skills and quality of products are making a gigantic comeback that will help lead us out of these hard times.
...or something like that
...Heck Yeah it is a hoo rah rah speech, consider what the target audience was watching.
...Inspirational and Motivational and Patriotic IMO
...and you cranks could look at it this way, that's where about like 12 million dollars of our taxpayer bailout money went, to make that commercial... At least we got to see something out of it
To each his own
"Fouled Plug" I say lighten up
