e-tec stuck in warm up mode

My e-tek lives in warm-up mode. Occasionally it pops out after it has been running for a while but then goes back after about 15 seconds. This limits my rpm to 7000 and uses a load of oil, not to mention the load of time I have been stuck when all of my power is cut off. Anyone have any idea of the issue? No faults show up when it is hooked up to the computer, but obviously it has some issues. Thanks for any ideas.

I'd think that it would be coolant temp based, try checking or replacing the coolant sensor.

or sending unit. im sure there is probably a relay somewhere to.
