I picked up an aftermarket longtrack tunnel made by Guzzi 2 yrs ago at Haydays. It was fitted on a 09 RR bulkhead and fitted with a mod 800. The sled runs great and the handling is exceptional. I did some tweaks on the running boards and wanted to match the powdercoat, so I went to my local body shop guy and tried to match. Come to find out the entire tunnel was done in machinist layout dye! It was done in red transparent with several sprayed on layers. It is hard as a rock and gives an almost glowing look in the sunlight. Anyway I love it and the question I have is has anyone seen this before or tried it? I am thinking of spraying my 2012 tunnel with dykem black transparent after proper prep. I have searched everywhere and found no info on this. let me know what you think, the picture I am attaching doesnt show the depth or color that great but you will see the tunnel.
