Duramax

at around 42-43% oil life is usually around 6000miles on my truck, my dad went by the 0% oil life once, looked on the clock, it was around 11,000miles i think. won't do that again. you could probably get away with extended oil changes but is it really worth it? mine has 398xxxkm or 242xxxmiles on the clock and nothing but routine maint.

I don't keep my trucks past about 70,000 kilometers so I just run what the GM program says to do.

10,000 OIL 15,000 FUEL AND I CRY EVERY TIME I BUY A FUEL FILTER!!
I would like to find a cheaper price for the fuel filter or a better/cheaper setup doubt that's the CAT one since CAT stands for "Charge Another Thousand"

Sample engine oil at 5,000 miles, change fuel filter at same time. I don't have DMAX got a Cummins. Filters are cheap. Injection parts are not. Also carry a extra on long road trips out west. Never know what kind of fuel you will get at 2:30 in the A.M. in the middle of nowhere. You really don't want to plug a filter on a common rail cavitates the high pressure pump NOT GOOD.
