The snow depth at treeline is around 180 cm in the North Monashees and the Selkirks. Expect around 140 cm in the Cariboos. Recent snow amounts range from 10cm in the northern part of the region to 30-45cm in the Selkirks and Monashees. Surface hoar buried last week is now down around 80cm and most prevalent between 1600-1900 m in sheltered and shaded areas, where it recently gave sudden results with moderate effort in snowpack tests. At the same interface is a buried sun crust on south aspects in the alpine.
