Drop Brackets

I am in the minority on the brackets on a cat 1m 900. I think the suck, I think they ruin the weight transfer of the sled.

seen the drops on M sleds, dont do it unless you want to make it feel like a unicylce for ease to lay over!!! M's already freakin fall over, they dont need help in that department.

they help snow from packing in the tunnel and clearance for a bigger lugged track. and yes they make sleds lay out nicely. i dropped the rear on my '00 rmk :beer;

They work awesome if you dont screw up the suspension geometry. I dropped the rear and had to put in different drivers and it made a whole world of difference. I made my own though outa 1/4 inch diamond plate I had layin around.:beer;:beer;:beer;

certain sleds, like the REV work great with drop brackets,

i honestly beleive you will regret them if you put them on an M sled,

the tunnels sit as high as a DOO with drop brackets on them, so if you want to go aheah, i just have a fealing your going to take em off pretty soon thereafter!

This is true, my buddie who helped me do my track swap and drop brackets has an 08 m8 and the rear is about equally as high as mine. The best thing you can do with an M sled is chop the running boards 6-8 inches and angle the corners up to the tunnel like cat tried to do with the 09's. That is the first thing I would do to an M sled. It makes all the difference, my freinds m8 is like a new sled after we did that to it.

You HAVE to drop the front mount also.
If I remember right for teh 2" you drop the back you have to drop the front 1.25 or something like that.
Your front skis will get heavier if you don't drop the front mount.

Whatever you do, when you get done, the rails need to be sitting FLAT on the ground when the sled is sitting static.

I've done a LOT of experimenting on this with many different skids. Once I got the front down low enough always LOVED how it handled after that.
It DOES work.

yeah, if you dont drop the front down... like mine right now, you get crazy ski pressure, kind of a pain in the arse, but helps keep the 1000 down in this never ending packed snow we have!!

Yeah not only will you have crazy ski pressure but your rear end will feel like the shocks are blown. My little brother tried to drop his rear end and did not drop the front bolts and its all spongey spongey now lol. But it worked out great on my sled, probably one of the best mods you can do to a rev if you do it right.

How do the drop brackets work on polaris. A friend has a 09 800 dragon 155 and wants to raise his tunnel up higher from the snow. Thanks....
