Drop Bracket Question/Help to fix trenching.

Good Morning all. I've got trenching issues. The sled I bought a few years ago from my buddy is a 2003 summit 800x that has drop brackets. I am attaching a picture of the drop bracket as I don't know what manufacture it is. I am trenching like a guy licking the center out of a taco. Limiter strap is in second hole. I will take any advice possible. Drop bracket in back is 4 1/2 inches from the running board to the center of the bolt. Front is dropped 2 1/2 inches. Track is a 159. Please help adjust, or tell me how much drop I need to change back to stock. Should I raise the front mount hole back to stock? Should I keep front mount bolt same and raise back bolt up? The approach angle near as I can figure is about 10 degrees but I may be measuring incorrectly. Any help would be appreciated

I would try drilling new holes in that aftermarket drop bracket about 2 inches down from the tunnel. I think stock is 1 in. I had the same issue and after trying everthing else I went back to just a 2 inch bracket and it helped out alot.
If its a 03 the skid geomitry has already been corrected/relocated from the factory. The 01-02's had to have the front shock mount moved back and down a couple inches to help decrease the angle of attack. Not sure why he would have went down more. But try that, holes are cheap.

you will want to raise the front back up if you re drill the rear or they is a chance the rails will stab the track causing more probs.the track should be flat on the ground up to the bend in the rails,(front boggie)if not it will trench with all that pressure.it must be hard to turn the skis with all that ski pressure.droped mine 2 in the rear and 1inch down and1/2 inch back in front on my 01 lim strap all the way out.16x2.25x154.2.52 pitch on my x

I have an 02 800 summit that I went to a 159 track on. I left everything in the stock brackets (front and back ) have have loved it .As stated before the 02-03 summits had a slite drop and rolled chain case had a good attack angle . I would go back to stock settings.Looking at the pictures I have heard when you drop youjust don't take both bolt points straight down ( not 100% sure ). Just my .02 worth.

put the front back to stock...let out limiter a couple holes...jack the back into place...drill the new hole 2-2.5" below tunnel lip...make sure its a little forward to "pre-load" skid a little...after reset, adj limiter so track is flat on the ground and a little strap free play...BJ
