Drive shaft bearing issues

i bought FAG bearings last year, $24 each. do you really have to use the same grease when toping up?

all this talk about lubes and FAGs. i thought this was about shaft bearings? LOL!!!!!!!!!!

After reading this thread, I hung my hawk up a couple of feet so I could take a look at my bearings. One of the seals was already off! So while still installed on the machine I was able to pry off the other seals clean them and repack them with waterproof grease and then reinstall the seals. I did the same to the jackshaft too. Track seems to be easier to spin now. Hopefully they last the season.

Fag bearing

We have tested fag bearing last year and they did a great job all season.It is more expensive ,but having no problem in far places when doing boonducking is priceless for me.

They did the season and they were still rolling pretty good with no rought spot, but i have change them anyways for having another season free of these problem.

And like rudeawaking said it is expensive but i am convinced they are more durable then the sheap ones.
