Ground Clearance would be my guess.Makes sense! Wonder why they haven't figured out how to mount them in a compartments slightly below deck......kinda similar to an onboard toyhauler generator.

I checked into this with my local Linex dealer to do my '18 Mirage and his problem was being able to safely get the trailer in the air to spray under it. He did not have the ability so wouldn't give me a price.
These trailers need two batteries to run the furnace efficiently for longer periods of time. They should come with two standard when it comes with a furnace, especially for the $20k price tag they come with!
The other thing I was surprised that wasn't standard when coming with a furnace was a fire extinguisher! Needless to say I added one.
Oh, and a carbon monoxide sensor. Other trailers I looked at had both of those standard with a furnace. I ccouldn't get a straight answer from dealer as to whether there was a sensor built into furnace or not.
Have I mentioned lately just how much I hate you!The new 2018 Ford you're buying would be a perfect candidate.....
I dunno...x2. A center "V" drain would be perfect.
Trails west burandt trailers have a peak in the center of the trailer sloped to the front and rear doors.
Water drains at the doors.
This means you have a dry floor to stand on and get dressed in the middle of the trailer.

the problem is most of the time it freezes before it makes it out. then the floor is an ice rink. even my buddies trails west with heated floor is useless when the out temps get cold.
I wonder how much slope it would have to have to actually make a difference in drainage???????
Any sled trailer would be better with a gooseneck but that requires an open bed truck with a gooseneck receiver fitted to it..

Very little, water will run on a very small slope. The slope used would dictate how flat of a parking spot you would need to find each night.
That would be the issue. I'm guessing a couple inches of slope over 28 feet trailer would be enough... right up until you parked it exactly in the wrong spot.
Automatic leveling jacks. Push the button walk away like all the fancy campers.....Yep. But since we’re spending Christopher’s money let’s throw a hydraulic jack on each corner with a bubble level in between.
I’ve never used a trails west with this design but I have used a trailer with a sloped rear dove tail, all the water in the back drained to the rear door and froze, had to chip it out to close the door properly.
Did that on one of the trailers and it did NOT work out all that well.Yep. But since we’re spending Christopher’s money let’s throw a hydraulic jack on each corner with a bubble level in between.
MOUNTING them is a challenge.Automatic leveling jacks. Push the button walk away like all the fancy campers.....

Some pics of what I added.
