Domestic Violence - Any Excperience?

My roommate went nuts and shoved me into a wall, threatening to kill me. Sober, he's ok. I think I'm safe. But any info...........

Without knowing the whole story it is hard to say.......though I think it is safe to say, Find a new roomate.

Leave, go to a friends house, hotel, anywhere. Come back tomorrow with a couple friends and pack your stuff

What he said.

I am a recovered boozer, take it from me.
Booze only exposes the person underneath.
GET OUT

WTF? You're a lawyer! Call the cops and get the **** out of there....the cops will issue a temporary no contact order...you need to make it permanent! You need to get him charged....you know what to do!

Harvest his organs in his sleep, when he apologizes in the mornin' give him half the loot. He can chalk it up to lesson learned later...........

I should elaborate. I called 911 and had him arrestested. He's been charged. I have the option to have a TRO. Sofar, he's being cool. But I live alone (now). How scared should I be? I just want input from giuys.

Thanks

Get the TRO.

Do you enjoy being a victum?

You're a better judge of his character than us...that said change your locks (tomorrow) and buy a gun or pepper spray...always a good idea crazy roomy or not. I'd be more worried if he is or ever was more than just your room mate. If you are scared (and you have a right to be) stay with a friend, have a friend stay with you, move, etc. There's no reason to live your life in fear.

What's a TRO?

She doesn't want to be a victim.

Pack his junk and have it sitting outside on the doorstep. Have a cop or a couple of your local snowest buddies standing beside you when he comes to get it.

I ncan't and won't. It's my house.

Then he needs to go.
Now.
He will be sorry, he will truly be sorry.
It WILL happen again.
It always does.

Well, let me prefice that statment.
Either the booze (all booze) has to go or he does.
There is no longer an option of co-existance.

Teomporary Restraining Order

Yeap, sounds like it's time to get the guy out. If it's your house, and you're the one that's letting him stay, you're just asking for more trouble. Next time there might not be a sheriff, but a coroner.

If alcohol truly is the cause of the problem, push to get him on a SCRAM bracelet. The program does work.

Restraining order

And if he ever comes at you again, grab a hold of his nutsack and twist.
