Does anyone just ride stock???

My wife's is stock.

I'd ride my stuff stock for the 1st year and then then add/change a few things each season to make it exciting again.

Except this year. I'm doing everything NOW! Why wait.

Relfecting on 20 years of going out west.........

Guys with engine mods are almost always the ones that end up having problems in the back country.

Guys that leave the engines stock, seem to almost never have issues.

I stopped doing engine mods to my sled 15 years ago because:
A: I no longer care that another riding buddy can go 30' higher up the hill than me
B: I no longer have the time to tinker and get the mods to perform as designed
C: I have kids and they consume massive amounts of my disposable income
D: We tend to do more boondocking than anything else. No need for massive HP, more of a need to be able to handle the sled in tight situations

True Dat!!!

I've bought all my sleds used and the riser, pipe, can etc mods are all done so i've never done any mods myself. The cost is way to pricy, and the amount I ride I feel the money is better spent on other things.

my '05 M7 is 100% stock. 1100 miles.

Original spark plugs.
Original belt.
Original DD oil.
Original 100% everything.

I bought a clutch puller yesterday so I could get the primary off and actually clean it, but I'm not going to change the clutching. :) Have only ever pulled the secondary to flip the A20 around, then turned it back around the next day and left it there.

Pull the cord, go ride. :D

My 08 M8 SnoPro is bone stock. It also has zero miles on it. After riding a 98 Powder Special 600(also stock) for a season, I'm pretty sure the M8 is going to scare the crap out of me, atleast for a while.

I upgrade stuff as it breaks generally. Unfortunately, since I ain't got no stock turbo, doubt I'll be ever putting one of them on.

After Three years of dealing with a Frankensled.(I think I got two decent rides) Im going to keep my new sleds motor completely Stock. Once its not enough power Ill get a newer one.

All Stock

Seems to me that everybody does one thing or another to there sleds. Does anyone just pull the cord and go anymore?? Or is everyone into mods. I am just as guilty as the next guy, however I do alot less now than before. Im putting a can and some vents on the new sled as well as taking off the decals, whereas before it was pipes, rolled chaincase, heads, port jobs and all the rest.

Just checkin??:D

My Sled is all stock motor, but I did upgrade to a 162x2.5 track.
