dobek style box tuning cheat sheet

ttt

On these boxes, to make sure they are hooked up correctly, is the box going to run through the modes while the sled is on a stand.
For example:
I just hooked up the pure logic box on the m7 turbo. The box will cycle through the green at startup and then occassionaly flash green on left side and red on the right at an idle (no injector signal?).
Now my sled idles fine, and is running on both cylinders. When I rev it up the box does not do anything. Shouldnt the box flash a green light when reving and then go into the yellow, red etc?
I have boost turned all the way down since I am in my shop at low elevation. Boost will go up to 5 or so and yet the box still doesnt do anything. I am not WFO in the shop because on elevation and I dont know that the box is working correctly. I will rev up to 5-6000 rpms. Does the sled need a load on it for everything to work right? Do I have to put it in the snow to make sure it is working.

Settings: Grn 1, Yllw 1,Red 1, Grn blue 3, Yllw blue 2-3, Red blue 6

Thanks for any help

is your boost line hooked up to the box? when you show boost you should see the yellow blue come on.

Yes, I ran 1 boost line from airbox to my fuel regulator, and tee'd off that line up to my boost gauge and then tee'd again into my PL box. Boost gauge shows pressure, and fuel pressure raises with boost. Since none of these use boost, other then a reference I figured it should work.

I will play with it more tonight, but the box should light up on the stand correct???
Since the box gets power off the main injectors, and both injectors are working, I dont see how I can have a bad connection.

The wires for secondary injectors are coming off my bridge rectifier, PL box ground and power wire for Sec injectors are tied into bridge. Bridge is not grounded to chassis...

what is your air fuel doing ? try taking it out for a short ride
and see what it does under load

Well I havent really adjusted the box way out, only sometimes I can select the modes and then other times it wont do anything. A/F was all over, but around 14 at idle and when Id get up to 5-6k itd be around 12 and bounce around on the way back down.

I have a 09 RG TT 1000 with a additude box. Mine has a yellow blue setting and I have hear about 15 different things that yellow blue does. Can anyone tell me what this function actually does on my setup.

Any help would be great.

Dobeck Fuel Controllers

So there is no generic Dobeck tuning cheat sheet. I really like the idea and 80% time Green/Blue is your Boost fuel for stock injectors. The Yellow/Blue will be the secondary injectors or a Yellow Lower Switch point.

The mode designations in the controller all depends on what the code is inside the box. So if you have a Pure Logic controller it may have different modes from an Attitude controller.

EXAMPLE: AEROCHARGER ETEC & PROCLIMB
The controller can have many different operations for the Green/Blue & Yellow/Blue & Red/Blue. One example would be the controller that Aerocharger is using on the Etec.
Green/Blue: Is the amount of fuel you get when you first enter boost or blue light comes on.
Yellow/Blue: Is the amount of fuel you get at the upper limit on the boost.
Red/Blue: Controllers when the controller will start to see boost. This can be changed from .75 psi to 2 psi.
****These modes allow the user to completely set their own boost fuel curve****

To find out the name of the tune up in the controller just ask the company whose name is on it. Once you have this name I will be able to tell you exactly what each mode is doing.

Thanks,

hi chris, i have a aero charger for the etec, would you be able to pm me a not on what the first three lights do, and have been working with your controller to set the fuel curve, but know very little on what i am doing with your lights, since their is very kittle info around about it
