there was a thread on here a while back, where a fellow members family was in a terrible accident, I still think about it, and still feel horrible for their loss even though I had never known him. I think snowmobiling in general is like a brotherhood, something that connects you to your fellow human being, something in common, so you can relate to them that much more, therefore have a bit more emotion for them.

Its kind of like being patriotic, you feel more for your fellow countrymen in times of distress, because you share that bond of being Canadian or American etc..

That is funny right there . I try to make a habit of meaning what I say...The forum has changed allot to the worst if you ask me but there is still some good peeps on here.....

I'm truely sorry you are doubting the sincerity of replies to some threads. I for one would never submit a false sympathy post just to hear myself type! I can relate to your pain because my brother's wife's aunt's sister once had doubts about a post and the whole family needed a year of counceling.

Just so you know and to get your facts straight...Actually, i wasnt doubting anyone on here or on other forums for what they type. Did i say that.. no. I made a few statements....which NONE of them had NOTHING to do with doubting anyone. Do/have, i second guest anyones response to the thread which they stated the word "sorry" in ? no.

I ONLY posted this, not to be a butthead but, to let people read and to think about it. Again, did i state anywhere that i am going through pain right now, or have doubted people on here? no. Nor did i create this thread to bash someone.

You missed the point - I wasn't poking fun at you, I was poking fun at the guys who always have something to say about others problems, and have always been through "the same thing". As for me, I usually don't reply to the "lost my dog" threads - it seems pointless to tell a stranger I care when I really don't. On the rare occasion I do reply, it is reall. By the way - has anyone seen my turtle?

This past year has been filled with tragedy all around, lately you just never know whose going to be on the other end of the phone. I've offered out my thoughts and prayers more times this year than I can ever remember doing so. And you can bet that every time I spend the time to read the story, talk to the person or whatever, I mean every word of it. If I didn't mean it I wouldn't say it.

when my 1 1/2 year old got cancer, I came here for support; it was easier to vent/lay it on the line here than to talk about it out loud. I met ALOT of good people and I'm sure some people got sick of hearing from me but there are sure alot of good people here.
My kid had a full recovery, and up until you couldn't view the old forum, I would go thru old PM's for inspiration! It's easy to tell when people are sincere.
