Do you hug/talk to your sled?

Sometimes (especially in hero snow this time of year) if I do something crazy or have a really close call, I'll thank my sled for not crashing itself into that tree or for making that crazy pull that I am now "fortunate" to descend. At the end of a good days riding, I'll thank my sled. I do this out loud, not in my head, so that it can hear me. Anyone else do this or am I just crazy?

I do on occasion... Not so much now that I have a dependable sled *knocks on wood*
Sometimes I give her a pat on the rear end or thank her after a good pull.
Havent had to back hand her yet.

I have a frind who had issues with his doo... Had the hood up every 5 minutes... One time we stopped and he was punching and kicking his sled... Wish I would have had a camcorder handy.

this is the main reason i hate summer...bc i have to read goofy chit like this!!! i knew i shoulda starting drinkin before reading this one! :beer;

I talk to my sled when I'm working on it.
Like last night I was installing SLP powder pros, and trying to get the ski mounting bracket on with a new rubber dampner below it. I told the sled what a rat pig it was, how its mother was a whore, and actually hit it with a wrench. Sled seems to like when I talk dirty to it as it's always getting me in an uproar.

I talk to mine all the time, usually swearing profusley while working on the stubborn girl. But she knows i love her hahaha

It just seems so natural.....

Oh yeah!

I am constantly talking to Naomi (sled name) while riding. From screaming at her to "give just a little more" to thanking her for giving it her all, to asking why she decided to give up THERE. Topped out of a small chute on Saturday screaming "I love you I love you I love youuuuuuuuuu!" hahaaaaaaaa :D

There has been many a days that when she is particularly good and making me feel all goey inside that she gets hugs.:rolleyes:

Almost every ride she gets a few good pats on the hood telling her "good girl!". :beer;

And coming down the Rutherford trail a few weeks ago I was singing to her, hoping to keep her mind off the bumps and the beating she was taking! I'm sure people I passed thought I'd lost my mind, they were right. :)

I also find myself sometimes yelling at the sled while out riding. I then think to myself, does anyone else do this? Apparentely they do! Lol.

I talk to mine almost everyday. Usually pat him on the hood everythime I walk by in the garage. Gets the occasional hug. My girlfriend thinks I'm an idiot but she just dosen't understand.

I always talk to MaryJane. Need to comfort her in the summer. Give her a rubdown every so often. A friend has a brand new M8 that he barely used this year sitting in my shed. I talk to her every so often too, reassuring her that she is loved and people want to ride her, but her owner is a dumbass.

I dont think its weird at all to talk to your sleds.

My sled is a 99'. 10 years old is actually 120 years old in sled years (Many people do not know that).

I think my sled is so old, it does not hear me anymore. It needs hearing aids, but the "clapper" upgrade would double the value of the sled.......:D

Haha, funny post dude, but serioiusly, I also talk to my sled. Whether that be when Im working on them or when they are not running as good as they normally do.

I was taught never to kiss and tell.:p

But yes, I talk, yell, hit, punch, kick, hug and give affectionate taps to my sled......... She can be stubborn sometimes and I am not the best listener either...
