Do you ever camp and sled?

Requires advanced planning, but I heard of group that used to cache 4 drums of fuel in a "secret" spot in the fall before the snow flew. They also cut a stack of firewood. Then they only had to haul the gear in.

I use a OTTER brand sled, very popular here in MN for ice fishing. They have several different sizes, covers are available. They tow well, very stable behind sled. You should try camping out, it takes some planning and preperation, but it's fun to stay out in the back country.

My wife and I go each year. Rental cabin in the mtns with a wood stove. No power or phone but close enough to keep extra fuel at trk. Its roughin it but close in case of emergency. Forest service guard cabin back in the day. We love it. This year we are going to do one of the nights outside in a snow cave for practice. probably be inside by 9 lol.
