Do I want an 1100 turbo?

I have never riden one in the mountians I have a 2010 HCR now that I would like to sell and get a 1100T just wanted to ask you guys if I wold like it I am 6'2" 260 an I love to man handle a sled just would like your input
Thanks
P.S.
my HCR is for sale
3600 miles and lots of extras thinking $7000

You have to ride it and decide. You can't just look at someones weight and height and say if it would be a good fit. Lotsa torque, Lotsa power, quiet and smooth. They are heavier and some guys just simply can't deal with that.

I LOVE mine, but if I am riding in the trees all day I usually grab the M8.

Typically, without knowing your riding style, habits, or abilities, the over 220lb guy is not going to complain about the weight. Strange lol. But I'm the wrong guy to ask, I haven't owned a 2s since '07.

Gas or diesel......kinda the same deal.

At 260 I think you will be able to give the sled enough input to "man Handle" it like you want.

So the answer is YES you want one. Especially if you like the idea of super reliable, quiet if you want it to be and alot of track speed.

It is hard for me to be credible as unbiased since our company has focused on this sled primarily for products, so for what it is worth...

I came off of a mod M1000 which is heavier than an HCR. The M1000 was extremely nose heavy - the 1100T is not. Even though the 1100T weighs more, there is no riding situation where the 1100T feels heavier - even in spring snow. The 1100T lays over easier, carves easier, holds a sidehill better and can do a downhill 180 tighter than an M1000. The above is true with the vertical steering installed. With the stock 2012 horizontal steering - not so good.

We also have an 06 M7 153 that my daughter rides - the 1100T lays over easier and carves better.

Thanks guys, I love to man handle a sled. Should I be affraid of a 2012 hold over or can I update the steering post ect. or for a grand just get a 13?

For a grand, I would definitely get a 13'. If you try and update a 12', the track, a-arms and vert post will set you back almost double that if you have the dealer install.

Apples to oranges,,, did both sleds have the same track? NOT bashing just curious,, cuz I see these vids of this or that and have to wonder.. What year and how well set up was the 1000. How new was the 1100,, meaning was the 1100 fully setup?

from coming off the m 1200 rg twisted i feel the 1100 t just doesnt have the grunt and is def nose heavy.where i notice is if i was coming down a hill and met up with a rd the nose would literally push through the ditch not ride on the snow.I know apples to oranges.have all the 13 upgrades done ,header ,skis, vertical post,a arms,3 inch track.I have the head studs installed and if I keep it will be calling evo on monday to see what i can do about clutching and more power. On stock power i broke the chain in case so that was a bummer.the other downer I have with it is im a bigger guy and when its stuck i cant lift it any on my own.Im sorry just had to say what I thought, now the plus side, beauitiful looking, comfortable, rides nice ,carves better than the m.Oh and the most important part is i have only had to be pulled out once instead of weekly with the gace gas m :face-icon-small-hap

If your username is any indication of location Jim will pass you to me lol. Feel free to shoot me an email or a number to give you a call. It's my sled and videos on Evo's website. Really happy with our clutching and how the bc275 performed.

As for grunt, I have friends that had 1200 turbos. At 275 the 1100 feels like a stock m8 was to your old sled, and it should it's 100hp more.

As for the chain it was most likely the tensioner failing to do its job.

I edited my more sarcastic post because the poster of the video was there and I am inclined take AT at his word that it is a well tuned 1100. I still have to wonder why it doesn't hold rpm thou.....

AT do you remember what the 1100 was seeing for track speed on that day?

I will let the guys that ride with the 1100's chime in on the track speed details and the RPM's. (of this sled) (it is no slouch thats for sure)

I know the M1000 was running a 162 Powerclaw, and the 1100 was pulling a 174. Which 174 I don't know for sure.

I know some of the M1000T guys have taken the 1100 for a rip a few times and every one of them couldn't believe the bottom end grunt and the trottle response. This climb is where the long legs of the twisted M1000T shine. get them spooled up and hold on.

Thunder

Ahhh, and the climb is where heads will turn this winter. When my boost hose came loose and I was running 14lbs on the bc275 it still had legs to run with the bd box sled. The normal boost level of that kit is 10lbs more than that at the elevation I was riding.
