Is that a Baja brand MC? If so how is it holding up? What about parts and service. I have 8 grandkids, 6 of them riding.. wouldn't mind saving a bit of money. If they will do the job and I can get parts.

Thx

Gettin' itchy..

Hey J,

I haven't managed to get to the lake all summer! Looking forward to maybe getting some time around Thanksgiving......planning the week of Christmas/New Years up there.

Hope I can remember how to find the cabin.............

That mud looks fun !

wyodrunk...

we'll put em away when the snow flies. there was snow at the ridge tops and this weeks forcast calls for snow at the cabin level. i hope not too much cause i'm trying to build a garage right now. yea, we are REALLY looking forward to Afton, it's the highlight of our riding season every year... make sure to bring that tommyboy this year... he's always good for a laugh or two. :D maybe he should change his name to wyodrunk2

Kong...

Yes it is. some elitists on here would turn their noses up at them, but it starts first or second kick, it's affordable. i don't think it would hold up too long to my 19 year old, but nothing does, he's watched too many jackazzz type shows. he managed to break the clutch lever clamp yesterday on my ole XR when he slid out in the money grease mud. i think the bajas are a great first bike. if you notice in pick #69 brandon is riding the 50cc version. there is a local moto shop here that does any warrentee work. I'm sure wish will post some pics later of brandon.

Jerry...

we too are thinking of spending T-day at the cabin . We WILL be there xmas thru new years .. last year was Perfect, with 8-12 inches of new snow EACH night. we bought ~20 tiki torches to line the sledding/ Luge run at the boat ramp and the fireworks show on New Years Eve. . It's gonna be a BLAST. there were a TON of people there last year and all the kids were sledding with big sparklers in their hands. we look forward to seeing you there. Bring lotz of booze to keep ya warm. :beer;:beer;:beer;:beer;

Nice

Looks like fun Scott n Stace. Stacey always seems game to ride anything and get good at it fast. Hope you were able to get some good work done at the cabin too.

Scotty, I rode Mark's old 80's Yami 250 4 stroke to work today up the back way on the old 4 wheel drive trails to the turbines. Beats going the same ol' way every day on the street bike. Took me a while to get here though. Had to break out some snowmobile gear to keep the chills off of me though.

Later...

hey Matt,

yep, Stacey does enjoy life. I love watching her do things.

I'm probably gonna winterize the shadow this w/e. Just ain't worth it freezing the berries off for 23 miles in the morning or spending the time to gear up, then take it all off to get thru securty at the plant. that's fun!

You know me

I'm gonna keep my shadow rolln' till the snow flys. $140.00 a week in the ford or $10.00 a week for the shadow. Then again, I don't have to go through security any more. Last year my last ride up here ended up in three inches of snow, that was a rodeo and I had to leave my bike up here in the shop for three or four days until the snow left long enough to ride it home. lol... I think I found some new fun though riding that little 250 up the back side of the Jump Off Joe area. Riding home in the day light should be even better and I probably won't hit so many frickn' Chuckers with my FACE either!

Man, you weren't kidding about how much water they let through that little dam. Seems like a bit of a waste. That looks lower that than last year in the pics. Is it even lower than usual in front of the cabin?

Yeah baby!

Fantastic!

Scott, when that little rain storm rolled through this morning Kris Finkebiner out here was up in a turbine and said they got flakes of snow! Come on early winter! That's at 1790 feet plus 286 more feet for the turbine height.

Jodi, Jodi, Jodi..... mind .... gutter:o

marky ... to far to go..

the scene at new years is very f'n cool at the cabin. The fireworks lighting up the lake bed, the colors of the fireworks reflected on all that white, i think collectively us cabin owners spent about 500 on fireworks last year. kids speeding down the luge run with sparklers, half the time with a biff. drunk chaos. a lot of cabin light up, it's like an old time little community with people milling around, sharing xmas food, treats, drinks.. lots of drinks.

this year will be even bigger .. twice as many fireworks. i'm making up a lanch pad with pvc tubes, we'll have tiki torches lining the luge run. i think there was about 75 people there last year. the most i had ever seen at the cabins including summer holiday weekends... you guys are totally invited if you want, heck spend the whole week over here between john and kathy's and our place.

I love seeing girls gett'n dirty! :p Since we're on the subject, I wanna share some of a few other rock'n lady dirt bikers who came and tore up some McCall backcountry single track with me a week ago. We rode 3 days and from fast and fun with tight corners and whoop de doos (water bars) to rocky and technical, some of it with a wee bit of exposure.

Emilie (Skadi) is on the Yam YZ 250, Jen (Ripitup) is on the Hon 150 (black gear) and another girl friend, Lori is on the Hon 500 (red gear).
