Dirt Bikes

you boys need to ride the race bikes with the rekluse clutch on the tight twisty steep nasty trails... you will never go back to the xrs or wrs again. :D

I am always looking to upgrade on bikes... ive been drooling over the new EFI bikes or a ktm 300... who knows :confused:

recluse would be a great upgrade for the trails.
Would I still want a clutch at the dunes though?:confused:

you still have the clutch lever to use the clutch like you normally would if you want too... but through tight nasty stuff, the rekluse feathers way better than you could ever do manually. If we get time to go for a ride you can try mine and see how you like it... i wont ever have another bike without one... :D

Is this the same bike that got its a$$ handed to it up sand mountain by a honda with a knobby tire?:D
Even red plastics can't fix that:rolleyes:

These guys are right on the crf not as user friendly in the tight stuff... I still chose my crf 90% of the time on single track... Only been on a couple trails where I was smoking the clutch and wishing I had an XR.

Hatchers bike probably still has paint on the footpegs... I don't think he uses them;)

1 bike length doesn't justify a "a$$ handed to it". I blame that on you being 5'4" 145 lbs.:D

Turn up the G-UNIT radio and call killak my shorty....while indyboy is changing his 5th broke arse $17 Charlie belt for the day....get a job son!!!

Actually i just picked up my sled from ADS today. She spent 3 months there waiting on a oil reservior. I had them adjust the clutches and they said "it was way off". so hopefully this fixes the 5 belts i blew last winter.

Another way i can stop burning belts up is by riding with friends that have reliable equipment. Friends that spend more time riding their machine instead of working on it. Friends that tell you every Thursday for 4 months that they fixed the problem, only to have to tow them out by lunch on Saturday.

Ray,

I'm sorry to have to break the news to you on Snowest. We can still golf together. :beer;

WOW:eek: Does that really happen? Oh wait, I remember one ride I had this last winter. It was a blast and very entertaining. It was an early spring ride. So some of us were caught off guard a bit.

Got Belt (Ray)? Won't mention the ditch you were wading in. Got Bumper(Spencer)? Got Straps(Hector)? Got Beer(everyone)?:beer;:beer;:beer;That was a real memorable day. Oh and I caught some air. My belt was good!!!!;)

Great times hanging out at our cabin after. Telling stories is the BEST!

Golf sounds pretty safe to me.:face-icon-small-ton

My memory is shot, but at least 5 bike lengths is what I remember.
Hmmm... Paddle vs KNobby... Should it even be close?
Maybe your choke was on:rolleyes:
Try 5'7" 195

If we get a chance too meet up I would love to try the recluse Phatty.:beer;

I like how he just fly's off the track. Heads for a truck bed, like he is ready to load up and get the heck out of there. LOL!:D

wow the sizzle is getting deep in here!!!

For the OP.. The best/worst answer is u need two bikes.. If I could only have one bike, especially if I was planning to ride it several season, it would be as new of a 250 smoker as I could afford. Now 2 bikes, I would have either a 505KTM or a CR500, and a 250 smoker.. I currently have a 2008 KTM300, the engine is fantastic, the suspension has required lots of time and money to get it how I wanted it. My back-up is my tried and true 2003 CR250.. It's Currently in a million pieces rebuilding it.

In my humble opinion a YZ250 is about as good of a do-all as money can buy.

As for the video, that was painful to watch. Thank god he walked that off. For all of those that have never lined up on a starting line for the first time, it's the most over whelming rush of adrenaline you can imagine. I think it's better to race your first time with no one you know watching. That way you have a slightly better chance of not doing something really stupid when you find yourself in last place. Not that I'm speaking from experience ;)
