15 is waaay to much for tight steep rocky single track. I run 10 and 9 and that is almost to much. I know guys who race the cross country circuit and they run 6 and 8. They run the Bridgestone Ultra tubes and never get flats. When i went riding with some of the fast guys they all laughed at me when i told them i had 12 psi.
 
Tight stuff is diff. However, if your getting to 3 and 4th gear.............:confused::confused:Not on 100 mile races I've been on. they must be running tire balls. I watched a booth make 1000's of dollars changing pinch flats all day long, most were running regular pressures some 15-16 and still gettng flats. So, would say NfW.

That's most of what I ride, and what I run for pressure. I even ride a 2 stroke (ktm 200 exc). I would rather have a little extra tire spin than have to deal with flats.
 
I've had good luck over the years with 15 up front and 13 in the back with 21/19 rim combos. With an 18 rear you can run 11 or 12 pretty safely. If you want to never get a flat, run 17 and 15 but your forks will be more harsh and you will have less traction. And set your pressure at elevation...your tires will gain pressure as you go up in elevation.
 
Bridgestone Ultra tubes and 10 to 12 psi in the front, 8 to 10 in the rear for the really tight rocky stuff:D

I am going to try 15 in the front and 10 in the rear and ajust form there.
