difference between 06 and 07?

I am looking to get either an 06 800Ho with a 159 track or an 07 xrs 800 with a 151 track. both are completely stock with about the same miles around 1300. the crank issue was fixed on the 07, I could get either one for $4500. just not sure which one would be best. any suggestions?

If I was in your shoes I would buy the XRS because I think its a better starting point than the 06. Primarily because of all the cool lightweight parts on the XRS plus the fact that it has the more powerful R engine-especially since the engine has been updated. I would drop and roll the chaincase, get some avid drivers, put a 2.5 Camo Extreme on it, get it clutched properly and ride it.

The two big problems with the '07 were the crank races and the track. Since both are fixed this is a no-brainer; the '07 will DESTROY the '06 in any conditions. Just get the clutch updates and a good clutch kit and...

YEP!

A good clutch kit makes the clutches much more efficient = cooler, better working than stock, more performance. As far as which kit... plenty of options. Winterbrew on here has had a lot of positive feedback for a do-all kind of kit. Cannot go wrong with DJ's kit, especially if you're into drag racing your friends or if you like crazy pull off the line. I like Tom's kit because it pushes hard at full shift = much better climbing/top end and ability to use higher gearing than other kits (but costs quite a bit more since you have to buy his clutch arms too). It really depends on what you like to do and how you ride.

Biker Justin--- im not that experienced with sleds but what do you mean drop and roll the crank case? just dropping the fluiding rolling to feel for rough spots in the bearings or am i completely wrong?

Or anyone can respond i would much appreciate the advice as my 07 has been rode hard since i got it with 200 iles now 1200 and i have done a whole lot of nothing besides oil and gas and blow the clutches out once...i do plan to check the compression here pre season but what else?
