Diesel Performance and Emissions

I know it sounds ridiculous but one of the considerations we had when we were buying a house was if the county we lived was exempt from emissions. We ended up in Elbert County so we are exempt for now. I guess if something changes we will re-register out of state.

I'm actually thinking about registering my truck and trailer back in WY to save on insurance and licensing costs ... CO absolutley rapes you on both.

I'll still have both my bikes plated in CO and a CO driver's license, so if I get stopped they can't really give me too much **** about it.

This is why I still have a Minnesota ID and plates, problem solved.

For once I am glad that I live in Illinois! Diesels are exempt from emissions. I have an 05 350 and sure love messing with that motor! I asked the mechanic who does all of the work on my truck about programmers being able to be detected and he said they all were able to be seen when hooked up to a diagnostic. He used to work for Ford but now has an independent shop so I don't think he would have a reason to lie to me (as he was the one who did all of the aftermarket work to my truck). Who knows really tho??!!

There's no diesel emissions in the high country, just down in the front range. All testing down there is done by private shops, not by the state. Everyone that has a newer diesel up here is deleted, my 6.7 Cummins runs very clean and gained 7 mpg on summer blend fuel.
