Did I buy the right sled lift for my 800 pro RMK?

I bought this sled lift and I'm concerned about using it.

Basically my sled has bulges on the underside when the rails of the sled lift would make contact.

The bulges appear to be due to the bearing housing for the drive/track. It's covered in plastic on the underside.

Also on the right side of the sled, there's a Alu guard for the exhaust which sits proud and would appear to be the first thing to contact the lift rails (and potentially get bent/crushed).

Hope that makes sense, I'm new to sleds...

I just don't want to damage the underside of my new sled with this lift.

OK here are the pics.

Also not so sure how that rubber door stop on the back of the lift's rail is supposed to sit on the running boards? Or is it supposed to poke through?

Winched it up today and everything went fine. My hunch (see post above) was correct.

Now to replace the lower A-arm, tie rod, pitman arm (recall), handlebar and possibly the sway bar and/or links.
 
I put a 4"x12" piece of plywood or 2x4 on the rear between the lift and the running board just so the lift had more contact area
 
Thanks guys, I will give the wood blocks a try. I don't think I have lift centered perfectly under the sled, since the running boards only make contact on one side.
 
Probably not a good idea to lift the sled on the quick drive, on my lift I made the rear "lift arms" longer so it would raise the sled before the cross arm of the lift hit the quick drive. Hope that made sense. I also drilled new holes and moved the 2 outside front bumpers in so it would rest on the bulk head, and like what was mentioned above use a 2x4 about 6" long on each side to spread the weight and make it easier to lift.

I'll do the mods you suggest, but is it going to matter if the sled sits on the quick drive for a few weeks?

All the weight is on the quick drive right now with the sled on the lift. The left ski's suspension is apart, so I can't lower it back down until I get all the parts I need. Which is going to take a while since the shock's shaft is also bent. Probably 2-3 weeks turn around from Walker Evens.

Also my dealer won't let me install the recalled Pittman arm. They have to do it for liability reasons. Dealer is a 3 hour return trip. 6 hours+ by the time I drop it off and collect a week+ later. Bummer...

For that kind of travel and timeline, personally I'd check the cost of the pitman arm. And if not too expensive just go ahead and buy the new one and put it in.
My riding partner just bought a new non current '17 Assault snow check. Sleds been at the dealer for a year, they didn't do the warranty on pitman arm till he bought it. Had to wait like a week to pick it up. I'm like why wouldn't they have had it done already. Good thing we were not chasing snow and headed out, as we have bought sleds and left the next morning for a trip:face-icon-small-dis

That sux they did that to your buddy with his new sled!

The part is $100, so I'll probably just wait until I have to go to Denver for something else and drop of the sled then.

I still have to fix the suspension before I can even load it up into the truck.

As long as it's all fixed before the snow flies, it's all good I guess.
